South Central Conference fall sports protocols

Subhead

The Athletic Direc-tors, Principals, and Super-intendents of the South Central Conference for the upcoming fall sports seasons have completed their protocols.  With the current COVID-19 pandemic, all parties have worked hard in creating protocols for all events - including those in which we are members of a different conference.

These protocols cover everything from pre-practice through competition experiences.  The protocols were created to fit the needs of each school district in the conference so as to provide uniformity between all locations, so expectations are clear and the same from event to event.

The biggest change to events this fall is the effect it will have on spectators.  With the idea to provide the best possible situation for our student-athletes and their families, there will be an attendance limit at events.  These limits are outlined below.  There will be no general admission tickets sold or available.  Each athlete is allowed to have their parents and/or guardians to attend the games.

Teams will submit rosters to the opposing school the day of the event for entrance to the game. This list will provide you admission to the event.  If you are not on the list, entry will not be allowed.

Outdoor Events - (Cross Country/Boys Soccer) - Parent or Guardians only.  Social distancing is to be maintained and face coverings are to be worn when social distancing cannot be maintained.

Outdoor Events - (Football only) - Parent or Guardians only.  Social distancing is to be maintained and face coverings are to be worn when social distancing cannot be maintained.

Indoor Events - (Volleyball) - Parent or Guardians only.  Due to the statewide face covering mandate, face coverings are required.  Social distancing is to be maintained, as well.

While we are happy to provide the opportunity and experiences to our student-athletes, there are other portions of the events that will not be taking place.  There will be no designated student passes/student sections.

While we acknowledge their participation in the experience, at this time, size limits are being set for our events.  We hope to return to events with these great assets at some point during the 2020-21 school year while taking into account the recommendations from the state and local health departments
