Wautoma Public Library plans upcoming events

The Wautoma Public Library is the place to be this next month, with a variety of upcoming activities that are fun for all ages.

Saturday, Feb. 19 from 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m.- Wee Play- Families with small children are invited to socialize and learn through free play. Snacks provided for children. Coffee provided for adults.

Tuesday, Feb. 22 at Noon- Lunch & Learn: Presidential Love Stories- Historian Tim Mutterer returns with the epic love stories of John and Luisa Adams and Abraham and Mary Lincoln. Tim always brings awesome door prizes, so grab your lunch and head to the library for this fascinating presentation of loves that have been tested and tried.

Saturday, March 5 at 9 a.m.- Bluebird Nesting Box Workshop- Former president of the Wisconsin Bluebird Association, Tom Whalley, educates on Bluebirds and leads you in building your own Bluebird nesting box. Space is limited for this workshop, so please call the library to sign up. Building materials are provided, but if possible, bring a Phillips-head screwdriver or power drill.

Tuesdays from 2-6 p.m.- Tail Wagging Reading Program- youth ages 2-18 are encouraged to read to Paddy the Therapy Dog to earn rewards. The benefits of reading out loud to a dog include boosted confidence, increased desire to read, and enhanced reading and other academic skills.

Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.- Storytime- Explore our Picture Book City as Xanthe reads stories and leads fun activities.

Also available at the library: craft and activity packets for all ages, Elder Diversional Kits, Maker Kits, Phonics Kits, pre-loaded learning tablets, and more.

The library still looking for volunteers to help with their painting project, so call the library if you’re interested in helping
