Officer involved shooting in Westfield, Robran apprehended

On March 17, at 6:55 p.m., the Marquette County 911 Center received a call from a Mary Jo Ziglinski in the Town of Westfield who reported that her male partner, Terrence James Robran, 56, was acting bizarre and had just set her van on fire in the driveway after an argument.

Responding officers from the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office and the Village of Westfield Police Department arrived on scene and were confronted by Robran in the driveway of the home located on Eagle Avenue, Westfield. 

Robran displayed a handgun and one of the officers discharged his weapon to stop the threat, striking the suspect. No one else was injured in the incident. Robran was apprehended and was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The criminal report, it states that Sauk County Sheriff Detective Lieutenant Chris Zunker spoke to Robran who admitted he was intoxicated at the time he was holding the weapon. “He stated he had drank two thirds of a bottle of brandy that day as well as taking prescription medications.”
