Local residents donate to Destiny Point

Rita Robinson, Plainfield, and Cindy Johnson, Hancock, recently led a fundraiser for the Amherst-based Destiny Point Women’s Restoration Center. The fundraiser was held to assist with gathering items needed for the remodeled home in Blenker. Enough funds were raised to purchase a 20-piece place setting of Corelle dishes and silverware. Some of the other things that were donated included bedding, clothes, dishes and miscellaneous items. Pictured are: (back row): Cindy Johnson, Julie Worzella, founder and director of Destiny Point, Adrienne Hoffman-Destiny Point resident, and Rita Robinson; (front row): Shawna Rogers, Destiny Point resident. Currently, Robinson and Johnson are leading a Thrivent Action Team to raise funds to complete their bedrooms at their newly remodeled home in Blenker.
