Hancock area vets donate to Waushara County Veterans Services
Dick Werner, representing the Hancock Area Veterans Association (H.A.V.A.), presented a $500 check to Waushara County Veterans Service Officer Bill Rosenau on Feb. 24. The check was donated for the purpose of offsetting the cost of mini-bus rides for appointments for Waushara County veterans. In addition, the funds will be used to reimburse drivers who take veteran’s spouses to the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King to visit their spouses who have been admitted at the facility. Also pictured are Sue Seefeldt (left), Waushara County Department of Aging, who works closely with Rosenau’s assistant, Dawn DeBraal (right), to provide transportation for veterans and their spouses.
