Community Rummage Sale to support Mission Trip to Liberia

Donations accepted at W4839 State Rd. 21, Redgranite through Sept. 18

Fall is a great time to declutter and clean house, your kitchen, your closet, your garage etc. If you have gently used items and they may be of use to others, you can donate them to a great cause this month. A Community Rummage Sale to support a mission trip to Liberia is planned for Sept. 22-23 and the committee is asking for help with donations through Sept. 18.

Donations can be dropped off outside the building at W4839 State Road 21 in Redgranite. Donations will be put inside the building daily and if you have items that are too big for you to transport please call 920-252-1011 and arrange for a pick-up. (Please note they cannot accept TV’s, computers, mattresses, or car seats that are 5 years or older.)

The sale will also need volunteers, so if you can volunteer your time and talents, your efforts are appreciated. The committee will be setting up on Monday, Sept. 18 through Thursday, Sept. 21 from 1 to 7 p.m. There are lots of jobs available including sorting, organizing, repairing, polishing, pricing, cashiering, and assisting customers. On Sept. 22 and 23 volunteers are needed from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. At the end of the sale help will also be appreciated for clean up.

There are several ways to volunteer and donate for the Community Rummage Sale, and also financial donations in any amount are appreciated. Checks can be made out to Waushara Community Church (memo Liberia Mission Trip) and mailed to P.O. Box 1139, Wautoma, WI 54982.

Supplies the committee plans on taking to Liberia include: markers, backpacks, beginner reading soft sided books, beginning writing paper (dashed lines), teacher planning books, pencils, scissors, watches for teachers, flashlight (battery), metal measuring tapes, rotary mats, soft measuring tapes, seam rippers, sheets or cotton fabric in solid colors, buttons, duffle bags, large suit cases, iris hair ties and clips.
