Coloma Elementary students participate in speaking contest

Eight Coloma 6th grade students participated in the annual Environmental Speaking Contest (Elementary Division), sponsored by the Marquette County Land & Water Conservation Department, on Monday, Feb. 6. The contest, which helps to promote the conservation of our natural resources, gives young students an opportunity to research environmental issues, explore conservation careers and build confidence. Taylor Flyte took top honors, while Westfield Elementary School's Samantha Stolpa took second place and Tanner Popp, thrid.
