Apps to present writing workshop in Wild Rose

Local bestselling author and DVD star Jerry Apps will teach a workshop from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 8, on “Telling Your Story.” The half day workshop will be presented in conjunction with the Patterson Memorial Library at the Wild Rose Community Center, and the funds raised will help pay for the library’s Oral History Program needs as well as adult programs.

“You have a story, and only you can tell your story,” said Apps. “Most people just don’t know how to tell their story. That’s what the workshop and my book are all about.”

“We need to record our history, to save it for future generations,” he added. “How often have you wondered about your own grandparents or great-grandparents and what they knew or thought – what their lives were really like?”

Seating is limited to the first 25 people, and there is a cost to attend per person, which includes a signed copy of Apps’ book “Telling Your Story.”

To reserve a space, call the Patterson Memorial Library at (920) 622-3835. The Wild Rose Community Center is attached to the Patterson Memorial Library at 500 Division St. in Wild Rose, just 1 block east of Highway 22.
