Wautoma/Wild Rose Warrior Tanner Deist, 120 lbs., defeated Ian Schraufnagel, Ripon, with a major decision, 14-0, during the 1st Place Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) Regional Match Feb. 14. Deist is one of four Warriors to move on to sectionals at Oconto Falls High School Feb. 21.

Four Warriors advance to WIAA Sectional

Wautoma/Wild Rose Warriors Tanner Deist, Andrew Henschel, Marcus Kasuboski, and Taylor Rivers advanced to the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) Sectionals having placed in the top two of the Division 2 Regional 3 on Feb. 12 in Ripon.

Deist, 120 lbs., Kasuboski, 160 lbs., and Rivers, 182 lbs., advanced to sectionals as tournament champions in their weight divisions while Henschel, 132 lbs., received second. 

Deist, Henschel, Kasu-boski, Rivers will compete on Feb. 21 at the WIAA Sectionals beginning at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 21 at Oconto Falls High School.

As a team the Warriors took third place earning 173.5 points, behind Ripon, 218.0, and Omro, 206.0. Following the Warriors were Winneconne, 133.0, Little Chute, 131.0, Berlin, 126.0, and Fox Valley Lutheran, 83.0.
