Alec VandeCastle scores 1,000 points in basketball

Wild Rose High School senior Alec VandeCastle went over the 1,000-point mark in his varsity basketball career at Almond-Bancroft on Feb. 16. VandeCastle became only the fourth boys basketball player in Wild Rose history to accomplish this feat, and the third under current Head Coach Jim Komp. VandeCastle recorded 19 points against the Eagles, and is currently leading the Wildcats in scoring this season averaging 20.5 points per game.
