Wild Rose School Board approves spring athletic appointments

The Wild Rose School Board approved personnel appointments for the spring athletic season during the March 14 meeting. Andrea Havlovitz was approved to serve as the interim assistant softball coach, and Stephan Brickson was approved to serve as a volunteer high school baseball coach. Requests from Kalla Doughtery and Aaron Palmer to have their sons opt-out of state assessments were granted by the board. The senior class trip proposed to be taken on May 22 to My. Olympus in Wisconsin Dells was considered and approved. The board considered and approved a leave of absence request from Mark Kjentvet. The board went on to consider and approve the CESA5 service contract for the 2024-25 school year at a cost of $865,690.98. The board viewed the WASB resolutions adopted by the 2024 delegate assembly. Elementary principal Matt Wilbert reminded the board of the elementary prom taking place April 5, extending an invitation for board members to attend. It was mentioned during the middle/high school principal’s report that 15 Solo and Ensemble entries qualified for the State competition. The report also included news that the High School Quiz Bowl B Team had secured the runner-up finish in the championship competition. The next board meeting took place on March 27th at 7 p.m.
