Senior fraud presentation at Neshkoro Dining Site
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) recently unveiled an entire fright fraud campain geared toward seniors. It’s called “Pass it On,” focusing on helping you recognize, ward off, and educate others about “Senior Scams.”
A representative of Congressman Glenn Groth-man’s office will be presenting information on this program following lunch on Feb. 3 at the Neshkoro AddLife Senior Dining Site, located on Main Street just before the bridge.
The mission of this session is to stop fraud, deception, and unfair business practices, and help people recognize them.
Participants may use this information to help others learn to spot fraud before they become a victim. Lunch is served at noon, and will include pork roast, mashed potatoes, carmelized Carrots, cake and ice cream.
There is a suggested donation for anyone over 60. Reservations must be made by 3 p.m. on Feb. 1 or 2 by contacting the Marquette County Aging Unit Office at 608-297-3146
