Hope for Holly Fundraiser to be held this Sunday

Having been recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and undergoing a dangerous surgery this spring, friends of Holly Maes Kallestad are hosting a Hope for Holly Fundraiser to help with her medical expenses from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Moose Inn this Sunday, June 25.

Since her surgery Holly has undergone six weeks of radiation and will let her body rest until surgery in mid-July. She is being cared for at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, and will be in need therapy for a long time following the surgery.

Throughout the day, there will be plenty of things to do for those who attend, including music on the sundeck, a bake sale, children’s games, an outdoor bar, a golf ball drop, a volleyball tournament, nail polishing, a raffle, a silent auction, and a cupcake sale, where some lucky person will open their cupcake and find a beautiful 14K white gold, ½ ctw diamond ring inside.

Those who attend may also want to enjoy the buffet meal at Moose Inn from 1 to 4 p.m., which includes BBQ country-style ribs, grilled chicken, au gratin or baby red potatoes, fresh green beans or corn, famous Moose Inn coleslaw, a fresh vegetable platter, dinner rolls and dessert. There is a cost for the meal, children under 5 are free.

All of the proceeds will go directly to Holly.
