Tri-County Threshermen’s Show to be held this weekend in Plainfield

The 29th annual Tri-County Threshermen’s Show will kick off this Friday, June 9, through Sunday, June 11, beginning at 8 a.m. each day at Veterans Park in Plainfield.

The 2017 featured tractor is the Oliver and will be on display throughout the weekend as well as many other types of antique tractors and equipment, gas engines, two steam engines, model engines, garden tractors and a threshing sawmill.

The flea market, tractor swap meet and food vendors, featuring steamed sweet corn and a pie stand, will also be available throughout the weekend.

Events families can enjoy when they stop by the Threshermen’s Show include: a pie baking contest at 11 a.m. on Saturday; and the kids pedal pull beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday; the antique tractor pulls at 4 p.m. on Saturday with the weigh at 2 p.m.; and a parade highlighting many of the tractors at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Those who are interested in going for a spin around the grounds can take a wagon ride while kids can enjoy barrel train rides.
There is a cost for admission. Veterans Park is located off Hwy. 73, one mile east of 51/39.
