Freedom Fest in Wautoma to be held July 1
The Waushara Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting Waushara County’s Fourth of July celebration on Saturday, July 1.
The Freedom Fest parade will kick the festivities off at 5 p.m. Local organizations and businesses are invited to participate in this year’s parade, with lineup beginning at 4:30 p.m. on South Waupaca Street in Wautoma. Parade Participants will be given a place in line and a card to fill out for the announcer.
The event will continue on at the Waushara County Fairgrounds with food, entertainment by “Genesee Depot”, sponsored by Cooperative Care and Martz Insurance, and children’s activities, followed by one of the area’s finest displays of fireworks sponsored by various businesses and organizations. The WACC is also offering the opportunity for businesses or organizations to have a booth inside the Waushara County Fairgrounds.
This year’s festival will offer a bounce house obstacle course for children, fire trucks from the Wautoma Area Fire Department, free rides on Evergreen Campsites Chippy Express and games for kids.
There will also be a number of food stands for attendees to choose from. At dusk there will be an amazing fireworks show put on by Great Lakes Fireworks.
