CWD sampling plan in place for four surrounding counties

In cooperation with local businesses, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources staff are collecting deer heads for chronic wasting disease surveillance testing within Adams, Juneau, Portage and Marathon counties during the 2016 archery and gun hunting seasons.

If you harvest an adult deer within these counties, please consider submitting a sample from any harvested adult deer for CWD testing.
Head samples can be dropped off at several nearby locations, including:

•Wisconsin Rapids DNR Service Center – 473 Griffith Ave Wisconsin Rapids (24-hour self-serve kiosk)

•Adams-Friendship DNR Ranger Station – 532 North Main St., Adams (24-hour self-serve kiosk)

•Plover DNR Ranger Station – 2510 Maple Dr., Plover (24-hour self-serve kiosk)
