Bending remains focused on community health

Tammy Bending believes in putting the patient first. Bending, who was named vice president of critical hospital operations at ThedaCare Medical Center-Berlin earlier this year, has held multiple healthcare positions with increasing responsibility in Berlin. In 2004, she joined Juliette Manor as director of social services after working as a social worker at nursing homes in Wild Rose and Markesan. Bending later became Juliette Manor’s administrator and moved to the Berlin hospital in 2012 as administrator.

When Community Health Network affiliated with ThedaCare, Bending be-came director of hospital ancillary services and played a key role in bringing the local operations of the two healthcare systems together. In her new role as vice president of critical hospital operations, she oversees ThedaCare Medical Center-Berlin’s staff, operations and finances.

“The employees, providers and patients are extremely important to me,” Bending said. “I am committed to providing excellent service to the communities we serve today and well into the future.”

Bending said she is committed to raising the local profile of ThedaCare Medical Center-Berlin and works closely with the medical staff and other providers to ensure the highest quality of service is being delivered.
