Cancer survivor Marlene Nelson delivered her story at Relay for Life

Marlene Nelson, a breast cancer survivor, was a guest speaker at the Relay for Life held on the track at Wautoma High School on Aug. 5-6. Marlene told of her battle with cancer, treatment, and support of family and friends.

The Argus thought it was important to share her message with those that were not able to attend this years Relay for Life.

•I am Marlene Nelson and I am a cancer survivor as well as my husband, Don. We have a son Trent, who was eight at the time this all happened 30 years ago this month. In 1986 I found out that I had breast cancer through a mammogram.  I want to stress how important it is to have mammograms.
