Wild Rose School Board approves new textbooks

The Wild Rose School Board approved the purchase of new Algebra I and 5K-Grade 5 social studies textbooks during their April 10 regular meeting.

One set of textbooks will be for high school Algebra I from the McGraw-Hill Company. The textbook with an outline interactive student guide, which could be accessed from the students’ Chromebooks was the preferred choice. The 60 textbooks will cost $6,473.05.

Another set of textbooks meeting with the board’s approval was for the 5K-Grade 5 social studies text. These are also interactive texts from McGraw-Hill and the series will cost $20,137.02.

School lunch prices were considered for possibly raising for the 2017-18 school year. The decision to raise prices $0.05 across the board was approved.

The board also approved Craig Ramczyk a volunteer baseball coach for the current season; revisions to the elementary report cards; and an agreement template for commercial distribution of USDA foods in Wisconsin.
