Wautoma Common Council awards bid for 2017 Bean Street project

The bid from Kopplin & Kinas Co., Inc. for $164,264.66 was accepted for the Bean Street project at the regular meeting of the Wautoma Common Council on Monday, July 10. The project will be completed by Sept. 15.

Todd Trader, MSA en-gineer, reported that he had toured the streets that were included in the 2016 project and he felt that restoration was going well and the contractors had completed most of the punch list. He added that a sidewalk at 411 Mt. Morris needed work. Trader went on to report that at the next council meeting he believed he would be ready to present the statement for the final payout.

Gerry Warsek, a member of Hope Lutheran, presented a proposal for a donation of land on Riverfront Ct. to the city. After discussion the council voted to decline the donation.
