Redgranite Village Board opposes elimination of prison patrol position

After a lengthy discussion, the Redgranite Village Board approved a resolution opposing the elimination of a perimeter patrol position at Redgranite Correctional Institution during its regular meeting on May 19 at the Redgranite Village Hall.

The resolution states “the people of the Village of Redgranite, by their elected representatives of the Village Board, are opposed to any reduction of security personnel at Redgranite Correctional Institution including the armed perimeter patrol positions, for the safety and security of our citizens, correctional employees and inmates.”
