Redgranite Village Board awards bids for several 2018 projects

The Redgranite Village Board awarded bids for the Pine River Street bridge project, the water tower, and well house during their March 20 regular meeting. The approval was made following a presentation by MSA Professionals Client Liaison Randy Herwig, who had compared bids submitted by several companies.

Bids awarded were: (1) Pine River Street bridge project awarded to Concrete Structures, Inc. for $316,506.51, (2) water tower project awarded to Lane Tank Co, Inc. for $251,500, and (3) well house project awarded to August Winter & Sons, Inc. for $761,500, less deductions for alternatives that the village may do on their own.

Fortifi Bank Credit Specialist Erica Grota attended the meeting to discuss liquor license conditions available to any potential buyer of the vacant property at 1100 Bannerman Avenue in the village. She asked that any potential buyer of the property, formerly the Granite Inn, be allowed a longer period of time to open their business without losing the liquor license.

After discussion, the board was in agreement that the potential buyer could have a reasonable amount of time to make repairs, get health inspections, etc. prior to opening and not lose the license.
