Plainfield Board hears audit report

Plainfield Village Board members heard the audit report from Jon Trautman of Schenck during the June 2 regular meeting held at the municipal building.

After Trautman’s report, the board moved onto consent agenda items including liquor licenses, building permits, ordinances, and other items.

The first item approved by the board was Angela Wiese’s resignation as village board trustee. Wiese moved and is no longer living in the village. Jerry Lauer will fill the vacant trustee position through April 2016. Lauer was a write-in candidate in the last board election.

Building permits were approved for the following people: Mary Miller, 326 E. North St., for a new fence; Jim Sherman, 140 S. East St., for a new deck; Mark Bates, 510 W. Division St., for a new fence.

Board members approved Opposing Elimination of Personal Property Taxes, Golf Cart Ordinance Chapter 5 Section 8-5-1 and Authorizing the Waushara County Sheriff’s Department to Enforce All Village of Plainfield Ordinances.
