Plainfield Board approves changes to Veteran’s Park

The Plainfield Village board meeting members discussed and took action on several items including new playground equipment and the changes needed in Veteran’s Park for the firemen’s jamboree during the April 14 regular meeting at the municipal building.

Members of the fire department attended the meeting to inform the board several trees east of the soccer field would need to be removed in order to place more water fight lanes. The department also would like to have some removed near the pavilion for a possible addition to the Lions building.

Board members approved the removal of the grove of trees on the east side of the soccer field as long as posts are placed to make sure fire trucks, equipment and other vehicles are kept off the field.
