MSA Professional Services to accept bids for Hancock’s Main Street Renovation Project

MSA Professional Services representative Brad Stuczynski provided an update to the Hancock Village Board on the bidding process for the Main Street Renovation Project during their regular meeting on Feb. 12.

According to Stuczynski, bidding opens on Feb. 22 with all bids accepted electronically and read out loud. The board approved a motion to allow MSA to accept bids on the village’s behalf. Stuczynski stated the board will be briefed near the end of February about progress of the bidding, at which time the job may be awarded.

Start date for the project has a window that will allow flexibility, so bidders can fit the project into their own work schedules in order to avoid extra cost due to conflicts from other projects. The suggested start date is between May and July, with the board approval.

During the presentation, the board was given site maps and outlines of the requested bids for their review. Highlighted changes include the fact that eight existing light poles must be taken down, but 11 new poles will be installed.
