Hancock Board hears report on grass notices

Hancock Village Clerk Kelly Kemnetz reported that grass notices were sent out with the utility bills during the regular meeting held July 13.

The notices were sent out to village residents with exceptionally high grass. The residents will be given 10 days after the warning to get their grass cut. If it is not done then the village will cut their grass and send them a bill for the services.

Board member Larry Monroe reported the Hancock Fire Department is presently in the process of looking for a new rescue vehicle. Monroe also gave a report on the Hancock Public Library, which is in the process of seeking to renew a five-year contract with the Village of Hancock, Town of Hancock and Deerfield Township.
