County Supervisors hear Eight Pillars of Trust presentation

Waushara County Family Living Educator Mary Ann Schilling gave a presentation to the county supervisors on the Eight Pillars of Trust during the Waushara County Board of Supervisors July 21 regular meeting.

Schilling’s presentation was based on the book, “The Trust Edge” by David Horsager. While attending the Joint Council of Extension Professionals Leadership Conference in Las Vegas, NV, in February as the Wisconsin Alpha Sigma ESP Chapter Delegate, Schilling was able to attend Horsager’s keynote address at the conference.

Upon her return, she wanted to present the information learned to her fellow employees within the county as well as to the supervisors. Schilling highlighted the main points of the book in hopes that when trust increases, production, moral and motivation does as well.

The Eight Pillars of Trust Schilling spoke about included: Clarity, Compassion, Character, Competency, Commitment, Connection, Contribution, and Consistency.
