Fire Department checks fire alarms in 101 Wautoma homes

The Wautoma Area Fire Department and the American Red Cross teamed up to visit 101 homes to check existing fire detectors or install new alarms. A total of 83 existing detectors were checked, 32 batteries were installed and 64 new detectors were installed. Four groups of 3-4 fire department members went door to door for two hours (5-7 p.m.) on Thursday, Oct. 20. Pictured are: Wautoma Area Fire Department Chief Chris Wedell and Chuck P.
