Waushara County Department of Human Services provides high-quality services for residents

“High-quality service for high-quality living in the heart of central Wisconsin’s outdoors,” is the mission for Waushara County and the Department of Human Services.   

Human Services assists Waushara County residents in many ways, including accessing State and Federal benefits for basic needs such as health care, childcare and food. As to be expected, given the urgency, the State has strict guidelines regarding precision and how quickly applications are to be processed.

Waushara County is consistently among the top in the State, often achieving 99-100 percent in accuracy and timeliness ratings. This is particularly impressive when considering Human Services staff will assist approximately 2,770 Waushara County households in obtaining and maintaining state and federal benefits in 2016.

Furthermore, Waushara County residents have stated that they “always felt welcome and respected” at Human Services and “their questions are always answered and people take the time to help them and make sure they understand.”
