Wild Rose UMC to welcome pastor with free ice cream social Sept. 12

The Wild Rose United Methodist Church recently welcomed a new pastor and will host a free ice cream social from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12 to allow the community an opportunity to meet him.

Pastor Douglas Clement, 26, was born and raised in Milwaukee, having also resided in Oak Creek and Wind Lake. His parents have been members of the Oak Creek United Methodist Church since his father was born.

Pastor Douglas has brothers, 24 and 21, and attended Winona State University majoring in German and minoring in history. It was while he was attending college that he felt a calling to ministry. Pastor Douglas entered Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary for the three year master’s program. The final year in the seminary was spent serving as a student pastorate at the Union Grove United Methodist Church.
