Redgranite church to hold a Gymanfa Ganu on July 19

The Redgranite First Congregational United Church of Christ will hold a Gymanfa Ganu (an English-Welsh hymn sing) on Sunday, July 19 at 2:30 p.m. 

A Gymanfa Ganu is a festival of sacred music featuring four-part harmony by the congregation. Singing is done in English and Welsh. A light lunch (Te Bach) will be served afterwards. The church is air conditioned.

The music director for the songfest will be Trefor Williams, Milwaukee. He is a native of Trefor, North Wales in the County of Gwynedd. He moved to Milwaukee in 1998.

The organist will be Rev. Thomas White, Sheboygan.  He was the organist for the first Gymanfa Ganu in Waushara County in 1968. He is also a past president of the Welsh Gymanfa Ganu Association of Wisconsin. 

The public is invited to participate.
