Grace UMC to offer Music and a Message services

Grace United Methodist Church, Wautoma, will be offering a “Music and A Message” service at the church at 5:45 p.m. each Wednesday, beginning Sept. 2. The Praise Team of Grace will assist Pastor Domnik Israel with the Bible-based message and corresponding music.

Meditative music will begin at 5:45 p.m., accompanied by inspirational visuals, skits, writings, featured local music artists, and praise teams. The reflection will consist of praise music, combined with prayer and a simple, straightforward 20-minute message, using Scripture to weave understanding into everyday situations.

One of the goals of “Music and A Message,” which is replacing/reconfiguring the Grace Sunday morning contemporary worship service, is to enhance and/or strengthen what might otherwise be a tough week for many individuals, helping them “get through” the rest of the week.

“All are welcome who are seeking knowledge and a stronger faith, but may prefer a less-traditional service.  There will be no elements of a traditional service, as the intention is to commune with the Lord through praise and learning,” wrote Grace Praise Team Director Steve Marks, in a recent church newsletter.
