WR School District reports 89 students open enrolled

Wild Rose Middle/High School Principal Criag Hayes reported the enrollment numbers to the Wild Rose Area School Board during their meeting on Sept. 14 at Wild Rose Elementary School.

Hayes stated that this year’s enrollment for the district is at 605 students, with 89 students open enrolled.

The board went on to approve an alternate release for senior Alison Pinkall, who is scheduled to graduate a semester early. Pinkall is currently leaving the school building to work at an Omro nursing facility during the last two hours of the school day as part of the school to work program.

Pinkall acquired a certified nurse’s assistant license during the summer and could work more if she was allowed to leave school to accommodate the drive. Her English 12 instructor also has offered to work with her independently during a study hall so she can complete the course while working more, and earn 1.5 credit through the school to work program.
