Wild Rose School Board approves bid for renovation at elementary school

The Wild Rose School Board accepted a bid for a renovation project at Wild Rose Elementary School during their Feb. 8 regular meeting.

The board held a lengthy discussion on what should be done, if anything, an unfinished room currently being used for storage at the elementary school. The extra space was built in to the overall building back in 1997 with future enrollment kept in mind. The board has been entertaining the idea to finally finish the space.

A bid from C.J. Schmidt of Madison, one of three bids received, was accepted pending clarification of a listed exclusion.

In other business, the board approved: the appointment of John Testin as assistant softball coach; Paul Roemer and Coalter Hansen as volunteer track coaches; Craig Ramczyk and Matt Wilbert as volunteer baseball coaches; four leave of absence requests for the current school year; the senior class trip to the Kalahari in the WIsconsin Dells on May 18.
