Wild Rose community comes together to support HEROES

The Wild Rose School District students and staff along with two community service clubs, businesses and private donors stepped up as Super Heroes on Friday, Feb. 3, for their local American Red Cross.

In past years, Wild Rose students have sold candles, worn hats for the day, and even hosted a Donkey Basketball game. This year Super Hero costumes abounded at Wild Rose and Pleasant View Elementary Schools, while at the Wild Rose Middle/High School the Student Senate took the lead in creating energy and funds.

In addition to the school system, the Wild Rose Kiwanis and Wild Rose Lionesses also contributed to the campaign, and citizens, Jerry and Ruth Apps, Jon Wilcox, Mike and Brigette Henschel, and Jennifer Koeppl from Koeppl Law Offices, help boost the students’ donations to an all-time high.

Funds raised will be utilized for local disaster relief and service to the armed forces.
