Westfield students receive academic incentives
In recognition for their dedication to academic success, Westfield Area High School and Middle School Honor Roll students received their third quarter academic incentives on Wednesday, April 12. All of the students who made one of the honor rolls were rewarded with an ice cream social to end their day.
In addition to the ice cream social, additional academic incentives were distributed as the students enjoyed their ice cream. Honor roll students received bumper stickers to commemorate their accomplishments, while high honors students received bumper stickers; coupons for treats in ala carte; tickets for free food, donated from Subway; passes to the Honors Lounge; and free movie passes, donated by the Montello Theater. Students who earned a spot on the Principal’s Honor Roll received all of the previous prizes plus a gift certificate for free bowling and soda at Thal Acres.
This is the first year of the academic incentive program, and it continues to be well received by the students.
