Wautoma students take second at SCC Math Meet

The Wautoma High School Math Team took home second place overall at the annual South Central Conference Math Meet held at Westfield High School on April 15. 

The math team, advised by Sierra Steuerwald and Steven Thayer, competed against Mauston, Westfield, Wisconsin Dells, Nekoosa, and Adams-Friendship students in individual and team components at the freshman/sophomore and junior/senior level. 

At the end of the competition, the Wautoma team took second overall, while the freshman/sophomores took home first place, and the junior/senior team took fourth place.

Individual results for the competition:

•Freshmen: Cole Hinz, 1st Team All-Conference; Dylan Edge, 2nd Team All-Conference; Jennifer Liu, 2nd Team All-Conference; Chloe Gulbronson, 1st Team All-Conference.

•Sophomores: Jordan Reilly, 2nd Team All-Conference; Madeline Peterman, 2nd Team All-Conference.

•Juniors: Elli Becker, 2nd Team All-Conference; Jacob Chamberlin, 2nd Team All-Conference.

•Seniors: Greg Palo, 2nd Team All-Conference; Elizabeth Meek, 2nd Team All-Conference.
