Wautoma SkillsUSA competitors roll on to state

In recent district and regional competition action, Wautoma High School SkillsUSA members Anastasia Dillenberg, Jesus Duran and Colton Belfeuil all secured their spots at the upcoming Wisconsin SkillsUSA Championships in April at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.

Back in December, Duran took first place in the District 2 Welding Contest held in Wausau, while Belfeuil followed close behind in second. Recently, Belfeuil attended the Fox Valley Technical College Regional event in Appleton and earned first place. Both students have already made their abilities known this and last year with previous wins at the AWI Welding Challenge and FVTC Welding Challenge.

In keeping up with the high achievements of her teammates, Dillenberg earned her first win in Welding Sculpture at the FVTC Regionals as well. There are two months until the state contest, and Dillenberg is gearing up to display and present her sculpture to judges for a chance to follow in local SkillsUSA alumnus Olivia Arreola’s footsteps and repeat a win in Welding Sculpture for Wautoma.
