Wautoma School Board approves new district hires

The Wautoma Area School Board approved seven new hires throughout the district during their regular meeting on Nov. 13 at Redgranite Elementary School. 

The hires included Brionne Roberts-Bray, a lateral professional move; Amanda Prodell, cheerleading/spirit squad, high school winter advisor; Sara Martz, Team Leader, Grade 5; A+ After School Staff; Dean Weiss, wrestling, middle school assistant coach; David Stevens, volunteer, middle school music programs; and Keith Koslowski, softball, Grade 7 Head Coach. 

Prior to approving the new hires, the administrators provided additions to their reports to the board, with Wautoma High School Tom Rheinheimer stating the high school is one of only 600 high schools nationwide to deliver the Gold Standard of a required, standalone, semester and personal finance course.

Parkside Principal Deb Premo added to her report that the middle school students held their annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Nov. 10, it included speaker Al Spitler, a sideshow that featured students and staff members holding photographs of family members who have served in the armed forces, performances by the band and choir as well as a complementary meal for the veterans who attended. 

Ann Fajfer, Riverview Elementary principal, also highlighted the ceremony the Riverview students put on for the American Legion veterans on Nov. 10. She said the ceremony was given by the students to thank the veterans in their own way.
