Wautoma High School Cafeteria offers students a fresh, new experience

The week before winter break, Wautoma High School celebrated the grand opening of the cafeteria’s new look, new names and new food offerings.

Rictchie Marketing offered free taste testing to the students and staff for feedback on the possibility of bringing new items to the school menu. Students sampled pepperoni calzones, Greek yogurt ranch dressing, fruit squeezables,100 percent juice smoothies and flavored milk.

Many new items were introduced to the students including a variety of new wraps and hot sandwiches.

“Our goal is to provide students with healthy, well-balanced choices at no additional cost of the regular priced meal that follows the nutrition standards for school meals and be ones they will want to eat,” stated Tami Stansbury, Wautoma Area School District food service director.
