Simonson to retire from Redgranite Elementary School

The Wautoma Area School Board approved the retirement of Redgranite Elementary Principal and Transportation Supervisor Clyde Simonson effective June 30, 2018, during their regular board meeting on Oct. 9 at Riverview Elementary School.

Simonson has worked at Redgranite Elementary School since 1986 where he began his tenure at Wautoma Area School District as a teacher. From 1992 to 1996, Simonson served as lead teacher at Redgranite Elementary, followed by building supervisor from 1996 to 1997 and building administrator from 1997 to 2007. He was promoted to principal in 2007 when he also took over duties as transportation supervisor for the district.

“Clyde is the hardest working person I have ever had the pleasure to serve with,” said Wautoma Area School District Administrator Jeff Kasuboski. “He has truly made a difference for kids.”
