Riverview second graders host ‘Turkey Trouble’

Riverview Elementary second grade students in Marisa Steppke’s class performed a song as part of their Thanksgiving presentation for family and friends on Nov. 20. The students held the event after reading the story “Turkey Trouble” by Wendi Silvano, which follows a turkey and his attempts to disguise himself so he won’t be the main course for Thanksgiving dinner. The event also included presentations of the persuasive essays the students wrote about the turkeys they concealed, a movie the class created and a pie and ice cream social.
