Emma Blaszczyk to perform with WSMA Mixed Choir

Wautoma High School senior Emma Blaszczyk was selected to participate in the 2017 Wisconsin School Music Association Honors Music Project earlier this year and will be performing with the Mixed Choir at 8 p.m. this Sunday, Oct. 29, at the Overture Center in Madison.

The concert, held in conjunction with the Wisconsin State Music Conference, provides musically talented students an opportunity to rehearse and perform in a professional, highly disciplined setting. Of the 1,300 students who auditioned in grades 9-11 last spring, only 424 were selected from across the state to attend the program.

“The public is encouraged to attend the concerts, which celebrate the accomplishments of these students and the overall positive impact of music education on their lives,” said Victoria Donahue, WSMA program director. “The concerts also commemorate dedicated music teachers throughout Wisconsin, many of whom will be in Madison attending these events in conjunction with the annual Wisconsin State Music Conference.
