February activities at the Wautoma Public Library

For those who like it savory, consider joining Linda Welty for a Slow Cooker Sensations at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6. There’s nothing quite like having a warm and delicious meal waiting in the slow cooker after a hard day’s work. Learn new recipes and tips and tricks to make the most of this wonderful kitchen appliance.
For those who like it nutty, consider attending the Hickory Nut Cracking Class at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Feb 11. Learn from the Wisconsin Hickory Association about the types of hickory trees in our area, drying and storage of nuts, how to start your own trees, and the uses of the nuts in all things culinary and delicious. Cracking techniques will be practiced and nuts will be provided.
