Wild Rose Historical Society to preserve history this Saturday
The Wild Rose Historical Society will be scanning old pictures of Wild Rose places and people to help preserve the areas unique history this Saturday, Nov. 11, from 10 to noon at the Wild Rose Community Center.
The public is welcome to attend the event as well as bring in photos for society members to scan. The society looks at Wild Rose as more than the village, so those with photos from the towns of Rose and Springwater as well as some of the towns in Wautoma, Mt. Morris, Belmont and Dayton are also welcome.
The group is especially interested in buildings that are no longer exist, as well as inventors, posse members from the 1905 robbery, sporting events, including the city baseball team, 4-H events, camping at local camps, nurses and doctors, people in uniform, including military, scouts and camps fire, business buildings, changes in ownership, church events and clergy, farms, hunting and fishing.
