Johnson speaks to Wautoma Kiwanis

On Nov. 9, the Wautoma Kiwanis Club welcomed Wautoma High School Vice Principal and Athletic Director Jennifer Johnson to speak about the Bigger, Faster, Stronger Be an 11 Seminar that took place at the high school on Nov. 8 during the club’s weekly breakfast meeting at Culvers. The seminar saw 154 students attend from 8th grade through 11th grade and it was run by former Wautoma High School teacher and State Champion Football Coach Dennis Moon. The program helps student athletes learn to set goals for themselves not only in sports but also in the academics. To be able to play sports at Wautoma the students must stay on track to graduate with their grades, and if they are having trouble, spend time with the tutor after school rather than be in practice.
