Dr. Shattuck speaks to Wautoma Kiwanis

Dr. Michael Shattuck gave a presentation about the changes since he became a doctor 35 years ago during the June 1 Wautoma Kiwanis Club dinner meeting at Silvercryst. During his speech, Shattuck spoke on how he found the hospital bill for his father’s birth in 1933 and it was just over $17 compared to over $10,000 today. He also spoke about how technology has made great improvements even since he started his practice in 1982, and there is emphasis on preventive care rather than waiting for a problem to happen before going to the doctor.
