Culvers speak to Wautoma Kiwanis
Peder Culver along with his daughter, Cami, spoke to the Wautoma Kiwanis Club about the trip he took with his wife, Jennifer, to India during the club’s dinner meeting on March 1 at Silvercryst. Jennifer was not able to attend due to illness. The trip Peder and Jennifer took to India in January was part of a Rotary Friendship Exchange. In summer of 2017 the Culvers hosted a family from India and in January it was time for Jennifer and Peder to be hosted by the same family in India. Throughout their stay, the Culvers stayed with four different families during the 17 days in Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu, India. The flight was 18 hours with a time difference of 11 hours. During their stay, the couple, along with others from their Rotary District, visited many schools, including those established for special needs children. Peder and Jennifer also had the chance to visit a school where a water filter system had been installed with the help of their local Rotary Clubs.
