Waushara Seniors will head west this spring
The Waushara-Wautoma Senior Center will sponsor the coach tour of the Rapid City area, including Deadwood, South Dakota, May 16-22, 2017.
The six-night, seven-day charter bus tour will take travelers to some of the most iconic tourist stops en route to and from Rapid City/Deadwood.
Those on the trip will enjoy the famous Mitchell Corn Palace, covered in murals made entirely of seeds and plants that started in 1892 and continues today. The tour will also provide a stop at the Badlands Visitor Center.
The tour will then cross trail of Lewis and Clark to see the view they saw while they camped on the banks of the Missouri River. The excursion will then follow Lewis and Clark’s path as they crossed the wide Missouri River to the headwaters in the Montana Rockies. While leaving the Rockies, sightseers will see the billboards along the way advertising the iconic destination of Wall Drugs.
