Senator Testin and Representative Krug tour StoneRidge/Piggly Wiggly

StoneRidge/Piggly Wiggly Owner Duane Detjens provided a tour of the Wautoma meat operation for City of Wautoma Mayor John Nixon, State Senator Patrick Testin, City of Wautoma Administrator/Clerk/Treasurer Tommy Bohler and Representative  Scott Krug on Feb. 2. During their tour, Detjens explained how the meat was processed, smoked, packaged and shipped to different distributors throughout the county. He also shared with the elected officials his hope for a possible future expansion at the Wautoma facility. StoneRidge currently employs about 175 workers at the Wautoma and Coloma facilities and processed over 3,400 deer over this past hunting season. Detjens added that StoneRidge recently purchased the Larry’s Piggly/Wiggly Stores in DePere, Little Chute and Kaukauna.
